Masterpieces of Thirty Great Painters of Japan

Second edition from 1907 of this finely produced collection of collotype and chromozylograph images of Japanese art. An excellent copy in decorative cloth covered boards with string ties. The book is contained in the publisher's original chitsu or folding slipcase with a label to the upper cover. The box has done a very good job of protecting the binding which is fresh and bright but the box is itself rubbed and a little tired. Each of the thirty plates is in excellent condition. The endpapers are stippled. A most impressive production by this high quality publishing house.
